Anyone still here?
I am apparently still fail on regularly updating. I’ve been writing.<<< My excuse and I’m standing behind it.
I’m not quite ready to share snippets and excerpts of what I’ve been writing, but here are two clues:
Love a man who knows what to do with wood.
And this little excerpt written for Maven over at Love N. Books: Outdoor Shower
Any guesses? I’ll let you stew on that for a minute.
In the meantime… here’s a new fangled version of your parents (or grandparents) slide show of vacation pics. My summer in 27 pictures:

It was no bonfire on the beach, but perfect for toasting marshmallows for s’mores.
Visited Martha’s Vineyard with SO.
Islands in the summer are a must.
Made some wishes in Menemsha on Martha’s Vineyard.
Celebrated Geoducks Are for Lovers with a book party and food inspired by Maggie.
The Rose sangria was a big hit!
S L Scott kindly allowed me to share her table at Book Bash. Had an amazing weekend meeting authors, bloggers, readers and friends.

July means San Diego and California. But sometimes you end up in Chicago instead.
Summer travel is always an adventure.
When life, or Alaska Airlines, dumps you in Chicago, make lemonade from lemons. Or have a Fat Tire beer. (still unavailable in MA)
Celebrated finally arriving in San Diego with the classic.
And so it began…
First night of Comic Con 2013 featured black cod miso and a Sharknado/Twilight crossover
Hall H… oh you dark cavern of fandom bliss. The long lines were worse than ever this year.
One of the best parts of CC is fangirling…
… more fangirling. Mr. Martin, we meet again.
And parties meant photobooth silliness.
I think I made a kickass superhero/party goer.
The best part of Comic Con is always hanging out with good friends who live too far away.
This year’s CC was also the first time I saw my book in a bookstore, The Upstart Crow. #greatcompany
Had a fun signing with SL Scott and Ruth Clampett. Fabulous friends and talented authors.
Enjoyed some post-Comic Con recuperation at the beach…a summer tradition!
Attended a wonderful signing in Stamford, Connecticut in August. SO was even my table assistant.
What would summer be without ice cream?
Cutest ice cream truck ever!
Even scooped ice cream at the annual Hardwick Fair.
Watched the tractor parade in Hardwick.
Enjoyed leisurely summer meals with friends.
Celebrated the bounty of our summer kitchen garden.
Wrote and released something different… a pirotica short that combines romance, comedy, action and adventure.
So that was my summer. How was yours? Do anything exciting? Go on an adventure? Read any amazing books?
Speaking of books, yep, I’m busy writing John Day’s book. It’s still untitled, but I can promise you geoducks do make an appearance. Hoping to get it to you by the end of the year.
Happy end of summer to everyone. I hope your as excited for the new season as I am.
