For those who read Geoducks Are for Lovers, the title and pen name of this novelette may sound familiar.
Selah Elmore, one of Maggie’s besties, is a part time erotica writer when not teaching about the human form (aka naked people) in Art History. Her pen name is Suzette Marquis and one of her books is The Pink Pearl.
I thought it would be fun to share a little of her work with the world. It’s Selah so it is bawdy, smart, snarky, sexy and full of double-entendres. In other words, tons of fun to write!
Here’s the blurb:
On the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea there is a legend of a gem more rare than diamonds, more valuable than gold, more mysterious than Atlantis— the Pink Pearl. Rear Admiral Lindsley of the British Royal Navy has been searching for the Pink Pearl for over a decade. Yet it eludes him to this day. Now others seek the pearl, including a scoundrel pirate and a tavern cook. Who will unravel the mystery and claim the treasure?
The pirate ship Mi’Lady is no ordinary pirate ship. Captained by a mysterious woman, who commands her crew and lovers with a velvet glove and a cat o’nine tales, the Mi’Lady holds more treasure than stolen bounty.
Secret identities, backstabbing, mysteries, and new allegiances abound in this ribald tale of pirates, sex and adventures on the high seas.
The novelette will be available exclusively on Amazon on Wednesday, August 14th. 10K words of Pirotica!(tm) (thanks to Amanda at The Novel Tease for coming up with that awesome word). Pirates!
